PRICE: $2,950
The Silverline is a guitar built to the highest modern standards with a look and internal design that's inspired by some of the more unusual guitars made in the 40's, 50's and 60's.
The 16" wide body is constructed from a 2″ tall 3-piece rim of swamp ash, approximately 3/4″ thick all around. This is sandwiched between top and back plates of solid alder which are arched and carved to a uniform 3/16″ thickness and bound with triple binding. No internal bracing or center block is used. A post positioned directly in between the two feet of the floating bridge offers excellent feedback resistance while coupling the vibrating top to the back of the guitar with minimal damping effect so you get a full resonant hollow body tone. The entire shoulder of the guitar is a cross-grained slab which provides a rock-solid mounting point for the signature Blackstien horizontal dovetail neck joint.

The Silverline is fitted with a hand made, adjustable floating bridge of polished ebony which adds a mellow, woody characteristic to the guitar's tone and a compensated Graphtec™ saddle allows for smooth tremolo action. Locating pins under the feet of the bridge prevent it from accidentally slipping out of position. The Bigsby™ vibrato tailpiece needs no introduction- the B11 was chosen for smooth performance and clean looks.
The neck is a solid 1 piece maple shaft attached using the signature Blackstien neck joint. It sports a traditionally styled art-deco headstock overlaid with ebony and a center strip matching the pickguard. An ebony fretboard is bound with ebony from the same billet, distinguished only by a subtle white stripe along the perimeter. The fretboard has a compound radius of 10" at the nut, flattening out to 12" at the 12th fret which allows for very low action and no dead notes even on deep bends. The 22 medium stainless steel frets are polished to perfection.

Controls are minimalist and designed to allow for a wide tonal palette while maintaining simplicity. A master volume control is positioned on the cutaway side for easy access on the fly, and a 4-way rotary pickup selector switch is set in the opposing shoulder.

Shown here with TV Jones Classic pickups, the Silverline is also available with hand wound Blackstien pickups - Choose a pair of Phat Boy™ pickups for higher output, punchy mids and lots of punch, or the mellower B-Type™ pickups for a smooth and extremely well balanced vintage tone.
An L.R. Baggs under-saddle transducer is optional as original equipment with a push/pull or S-1 switch setup for greater tonal versatility.
Buzz Cut™ auto engage variable hum canceling is standard when single coil pickups are used.
